Membership Criteria

Thank you for your interest in nominating a colleague to WBL. To be invited to be a part of the WBL network, a female candidate will be evaluated against the following criteria (below). If you wish to check with WBL prior to nominating a colleague, a short form to do so is provided at the bottom of this page.

 

Criteria for Nominees who serve on the senior executive team and/or the board of a Manufacturer, Payer or Provider within the a Health Care or Life Sciences Industry

  • Should be directly involved in key decision-making for her company and/or a major business unit of the company with either direct P&L responsibility, managing major lines items of P&L (Sales, Legal, Medical, R&D, Capabilities, etc) or represent significant customer responsibility (i.e. Payers, Health care systems, etc.)
  • Should be part of a senior management leadership team with the title of VP or higher
  • If based on board leadership, should be currently serving on a Board of Directors of a Health Care or Life Sciences Company 

Criteria for Nominees who serve on the senior executive team of a Service Provider to the Health Care or Life Sciences Industry:

 

If from a medium to large company (>$5 M in annual revenue):

  • Should be directly involved in key decision-making for her company and/or a major business unit of the company with either direct P&L responsibility, managing major lines items of P&L (Sales, Legal, Medical, R&D, Capabilities, etc) or represent significant customer responsibility (i.e. Payers, Health Care System, etc.)
  • Should be a part of senior management team with the title of practice leader, senior vice president or higher
  • If based on board leadership, should be currently serving on a Board of Directors of a for-profit health care or life sciences company or on the board of a significant non-profit organization

If from a small company (must have a minimum of expected $1M in annual revenue and more than 10 employees):

  • Should be the Founder, President, or CEO, of the company
  • Must be responsible for the profit and loss of the company, and should be expecting a minimum of $1 Million in annual revenues
  • If the company has less than $1M in revenues or fewer than 10 employees, nominee must currently serve on a Board of Directors of a for-profit Health Care or Life Sciences company or on the board of a significant non-profit organization 

Additional Considerations

  • We will consider the candidate’s entire career, including a nominees most recent past position
  • Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis at the discretion of the WBL Foundation
  • Nominees who are full time government employees are not eligible for consideration
