About the Workshop: Creating an Outstanding Board Bio*

This is the workshop you’ve been waiting for! When was the last time you dusted off your resume or CV and sent it along to someone, asking for them to consider you for a board opening? In this session, we will call on the experts to answer our most frequently asked question here at WBL: How do I create a board bio? Our presenters will share insight into the board bio and how it differs from the executive bio.

We’ll answer questions such as:
• What do you need to highlight?
• How do you decide what matters?
• How do you assess your visibility?
• How do you use the bio to highlight the right aspects of your brand?
• What are some of the best bios we have seen?
• What are some of the common mistakes people make when putting these together?

You’ll walk away with a template and several samples, ready to check this item off your list. Although this is a virtual event, it is not a webinar. We plan to be much more interactive than that! Bring your questions, or send them to us in advance, and we’ll spend part of the session addressing your actual questions and challenges in creating your bio.

*This workshop is a part of our board program content, but for an additional fee, we are making this session available to all WBL members. If you attended the Board Program in NY in 2017, this workshop is complimentary to you. Because it is part of our Board program, this virtual workshop is excluded from the webinars offered on a complimentary basis to sponsors and full members.
