Find yourself in the same room as the nation’s top women leaders in health care. WBL’s signature event brings together more than 200 members for three days of executive education and networking. Held each spring, the program features a slate of industry experts, CEOs, board members, and outside-industry leaders who deliver actionable strategies to inspire members to move their companies forward. Cutting-edge content paired with a wide array of peer-to-peer networking activities gives members the tools to develop genuine relationships and walk away from each Summit feeling motivated, connected, and prepared to impact the industry.

Create and execute your strategic plan of action for board service at WBL’s Board Program. Join a cohort of accomplished WBL members to network with sitting board members, learn about the special talents you bring to the table as a health care executive, and gain tools for navigating your way to that long-awaited board seat. Educational topics include locating and securing public board opportunities, the interview process, how to write your board bio, how to add value as a board member, and more.
Share best practices and discuss industry challenges with 15-30 fellow members on hour-long idea exchange calls. These moderated virtual discussions are the perfect opportunity to learn from and network with your peers without having to leave your desk. EIEs are not recorded.
Stay up-to-date on leadership trends, learn about innovations in the health care industry, and hear from top industry leaders on a WBL webinar. WBL webinars are open to members as well as the public. If you missed a webinar, you can purchase the recording from our online store.
Led by a local woman leader, virtual coffee chats are an opportunity to make connections with fellow members in your area. The leader guides introductions around the room, and if time allows, a moderated discussion will follow. These virtual sessions take place on Wednesday or Friday mornings. Examples: Southeast, West Coast, Tri-State.
These virtual sessions are ideal for women trying to make connections and meet fellow women who share similar job titles or sectors. Examples: Growth & Marketing Executives, Small Company Founders, Hospital Executives, Chief Legal Officers.
Held twice a year, Lynn Shapiro Snyder, WBL Founder and Chairperson, leads a virtual conversation over lunchtime. These sessions are an opportunity to learn about board service, growing your network, building impactful relationships, and achieving your career goals through WBL. Lynn shares leadership lessons and draws from personal experiences while answering questions from attendees.
At these virtual networking sessions, attendees are paired up for quick introductions over multiple rounds. Use this time to share your elevator pitch, exchange business cards, and make connections with fellow members. WBL hosts Speed Networking events 4-5 times per year. These events are designed for new members who joined WBL within the past year. WBL staff shares how to make the most of your WBL benefits, provides an overview of the WBL portal, and leads introductions among attendees. New Member Meet & Greets are scheduled every 6-8 weeks.
WBL Guest Policy: WBL programs and events are open only to WBL members. WBL welcomes guests at most events but asks that they meet our membership criteria so that we may maintain a true peer group. Please reach out to events@wbl.org to confirm the relevant event is open to guests before extending an invitation.
Event Cancellation Policy: If something comes up and you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible! We are able to refund your registration (minus a cancellation fee) if we receive notice of your cancellation before submitting our guaranteed attendance to the venue (typically 72 business hours prior to the event).
