Code of Conduct

The purpose of this code of conduct is to set the tone for all WBL communication and activities and to create an atmosphere of mutual respect and active participation.

For continued successful participation in WBL, members are asked to adhere to the following in good faith:

  • Display both personal and professional qualities of integrity, respect, and honesty in dealings with WBL members, staff, guests, and collaborators.
  • Uphold our community’s values by helping us to maintain an inclusive environment free of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior directed toward others.*
  • Refrain from using the WBL name and/or logo to sell a service, promote, or market ideas or enter business arrangements without express written permission (Note: Members are encouraged to share the WBL name and logo to share their membership affiliation – such as on LinkedIn and at conferences and events).
  • Avoid adding the contact information of other WBL members from the WBL Member Directory to mass mailing systems or company directories, or sending bulk mail for marketing, solicitation, or any other mailing that could be considered SPAM. Your contact information will never be sold or added to another mailing list by WBL.

Any incidents should be shared with a member of the WBL Board of Directors or CEO promptly.  Failure to adhere to the guidelines above may result in cancellation of your WBL membership without refund or other consequences as appropriate.

*We respect each other without consideration of gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, or political beliefs.

Member Engagement Expectations

You’ll get the most out of your WBL membership by building meaningful relationships with fellow executive leaders and board members in the health care industry. At WBL, we value quality relationships that transcend business deals and projects. We prioritize developing long-term relationships over short-term give and get relationships. To help uphold our organization’s values, we ask members to meet the following expectations:

  • Return communications from fellow members as promptly as possible,
  • Understand that, as an active member, your information will be shared with other members in our private Member Directory,
  • Maintain an up-to-date profile,
  • Encourage qualified prospects in your network to consider membership, and when possible, nominate these leaders to WBL, and
  • Use the network for one-to-one business and networking opportunities instead of solely for sales purposes.

Revised December 2025 by the WBL Board of Directors
The Code of Conduct and Member Engagement Expectations are living documents subject to review every three years by the WBL Board of Directors.
